These FAQs are specific to this tour. If you would like to view our general FAQs CLICK HERE.
1. Do you offer this trip in the winter?
We only offer the Marble Canyon Photography tour from March 1 through Oct. 31. We do offer our Toroweap tour year-round. This is another remote Grand Canyon north rim view that’s simply incredible.
2. How much hiking will we do on this tour?
We will stop several viewpoints where only short walks over uneven surfaces are required.
3. How much driving will we do?
These are remote viewpoints and considerable driving is required. The tour lasts 8 hours starting and ending in Kanab, Utah. We will spend about 60% of that time, or about 4 hours and 45 minutes driving.
4. What is Marble Canyon?
Marble Canyon is the section of canyon carved by the Colorado River that lies below Lee’s Ferry (Where many Grand Canyon river expeditions begin) and stretches to the confluence of the Colorado River and the Little Colorado River where the Grand Canyon officially begins. Essentially, this is a section of canyon carved by the Colorado River that lies just upstream of the Grand Canyon. It is seldom visited, but that’s not because of its incredible beauty. The solitude of these remote viewpoints is absolutely thrilling.
5. Are there bathrooms at Marble Canyon?
We will pass a flushing toilet about 45 minutes into the tour. Beyond there, there are no facilities. At any time, you may duck behind a tree or bush for privacy. Bury all solid waste. Do not leave any trash on the ground. Paper must be bagged up and carried back to the truck to be placed in the trash.
6. Are drones allowed at Marble Canyon?
The land extending from the canyon rim of the canyon to the river is part of Grand Canyon National Park and drones are not allowed.

Single Travelers & Private Tours

Private Tours are available to be booked online.
Our Marble Canyon Photography Tour features a spectacular and secluded stretch of the Colorado River between Glen Canyon and the Grand Canyon. These views, however, are nothing short of grand.
Walk around on the rim and find unique angles that maybe no one else has on this Dreamland exclusive tour. You will find an endless array of overlooks, angles, bends, and foreground frames for these dramatic landscapes. Let’s go explore!
PLEASE NOTE: For optimal photographic results, this tour is best taken during the regular season April-September. In the winter months, from some of the overlooks the canyon is in perpetual shade or has a very limited window of full light due to the low angle of the sun.
